After visiting Yosemite in 2024 and being struck by its beauty, I wanted to create something that captured that feeling while pushing my creative skills. News of budget cuts to U.S. national parks made the project feel even more meaningful. My goal was to design, illustrate, and animate a personal piece from scratch—including my first attempt at animating animals.
Surfers Against Sewage needed to expand their community fundraising capabilities with fresh, inspiring resources that would motivate their supporter base to become active DIY fundraisers and join the fight against sewage and plastic pollution.

The Solution
"Yosemite Calling" is both a love letter to the park and a brand-awareness piece. The animation pans upward through Yosemite’s iconic landscape, from wildlife to campers and climbers, capturing the joy of being in nature before ending with a logo reveal above the treetops.
"Fundraisers Against Sewage" - a complete fundraising platform that channels supporters' activist spirit into action. Using the charity's signature grungy aesthetic with a lighter, more accessible tone, we developed a visual system that feels like a movement and empowers anyone to make a difference.

Illustrated in Photoshop and Illustrator, then animated entirely in After Effects with the Limber 2 rigging tool and path animators, the 2D vector piece uses a bright, nature-inspired palette and organic textures. Playful characters and bold shapes convey warmth and hope, while the project pushed me to illustrate and animate landscapes, wildlife, and people in new ways.
